Other Types of Wireless Network

The development of technology has made the life of average human being easy. The various inventions of the technical field has made the mundane tasks that we do everyday easier. The modes of communication methods have changed over the years. The networks developed has helped in improving transmission and receiving of data. The wireless networks are instrumental in spreading the word of communication. There are different Other Types of Wireless Network that help in the supporting the communication passage.
Types of Wireless Network

The wireless network may be classified into three categories which include Wide area network, Wireless Local area network and Personal area network. They all form part of the Other Types of Wireless Network devices that help in formulating wireless solutions. Wide Area Network is the network that enables you to talk on the cellphone. This wireless data service is available within the range that your network service provider allows. Wide area network takes care of the area through which the network is spread but has no hand in the speed of the connection. LAN or Local area network covers a distance that is defined by a finite parameter. For instance a building is connected with LAN enables a person with a computer on the 6th floor to communicate with a person sitting on the first floor. The coverage area of the network is limited within a certain boundary. Unlike WAN where data may be transferred over a wide area LAN can only transfer data within the limits of the boundary set. Another important Other Types of Wireless Network is Personal Area Network that has wireless range up to a distance of 10m. This helps in the connection of a computer with a printer in the same room without the necessity of a wire. Used most prominently in cellphones this wireless network service enables you to talk on your cellphone through a device which is attached in the ear, while your cellphone resides inside the pocket. Bluetooth and Infra red are the examples of Personal Area Network. By using the latter you may transfer data from your laptop to your cellphone and vice versa.

Other Types of Wireless Network

The Other Types of Wireless Network include Fixed Wireless Data, WiMax, GSM, Personal Communications Service(PCS) and D-AMPS. Fixed wireless Data is a type of LAN device that helps in the connection of devices through radio links or laser bridge. WiMax is structured on the WAN technology. D-AMPS is a type of mobile phone system. GSM on the other hand is a type of network technology used on the mobile phones.
